DEIVIE Spring/Summer 2013 Collection, UH-OH! Presentation

 August 29 NYC – The Fashion designer Christina Mannino, founder of the brand DEIVIE , presents in a exclusive preview for press and buyers the Collection Uh-Oh! Spring / Summer 2013 at The Lounge at WEWORK in Manhattan (NYC).

Drawing inspiration from Charles shyre's 2004 flick Alfie, three words describe the  DEIVIE , Collection : Whimsical, Ecletic and Erratic.

Christina Mannino modernized the sartorial choices of the Youthquake revolution of the 1960s , when fashion first met rock n roll.

The Uh-Oh! collection fuses elements of unpredictability, danger and playfulness. 

The gun motif is embroidered on feminine Peter Pan Collars, giving a hint of Andy Warhol's pop art.

The use of colour in Deivie ss 2013 collection adds another layer in the narrative. Misses Mannino drew inspirations from Michele Bernhdardt 's book "Colorstrology" which pairs a pantone colours with each birthday and what that colour says about the person's and their corresponding colours from the collection

The colors used by the designer are therefore not the result of a random choice, but correspond to the dates of his birthday, that her boyfriend and his assistant bday.

Even the music selection of the presentation has not been occasional, but songs such as "Get  it On" by T-Rex, "Break on Through" by The Doors, and other pieces such as the Rolling Stones and Midnight Spin, are the representation of his message into the collection.

29 agosto NYC – La designer Christina Mannino ,fondatrice del brand  DEIVIE , presenta in anteprima esclusiva per stampa e buyers la sua Collezione Uh-Oh! Spring /Summer 2013 presso il The Lounge at  WEWORK  in Manhattan (NYC).

La designer trae  ispirazione dal famoso film del 2004 di Charles Shyre , Alfie e definisce la sua Collezione Deivie in tre parole: Stravagante, eclettica e irregolare.

Christina Mannino  vuole modernizzare le scelte sartoriali della rivoluzione del Youthquake del 1960, dove avvenne  il  primo incontro  tra il Fashion e il Rock n Roll.

La collezione Uh-Oh! fonde l’ imprevedibilità, con il pericolo e la vivacità.

Il leitmotiv della pistola è stato ricamato su un femminile colletto alla  Peter Pan, per dare un tocco di pop art che ricordi  Andy Warhol.

L'uso del colore nella collezione  DEIVIE , ss 2013,  aggiunge un ulteriore livello nel racconto di  Miss Mannino che trae ispirazione dal libro di Michele Bernhdardt  "COLORSTROLOGY" che dice che , ogni coppia di colori pantone abbinata alla propria data di nascita da come risultato un colore che esplica la personalità del soggetto in questione. I colori utilizzati  dalla stilista,non sono quindi frutto di una scelta casuale, ma corrispondono alle date del suo compleanno, quello del suo fidanzato e quello della sua assistente.

Anche la selezione musicale della presentation, non è stata occasionale, bensì brani come : “Get it On” dei T-Rex; “Break on through” dei The Doors; e altri pezzi come Rolling Stones e Midnight Spin, rappresentano appieno il messaggio della sua collezione.
